Parents Arrested in Phoenix For Doing Drugs with Children in the Car

Authorities in Arizona have released a report that confirms that the two moms and dads who were detained for doing drugs with children in the car had been living out of the lorry for more than a week.

Cops say an officer stopped a car driven by 26-year-old Alfredo Paredes in a community near 32nd Street and Thomas Roadway after observing it break numerous traffic laws, consisting of failing to stop at multiple stop signs and intersections.

Paredes did not have any form of identification with him, and when officers looked for his name, they found he was driving on a revoked license and had an active warrant for DUI, according to a possible cause statement. Twenty-four-year-old Karla Millan, the mother of the two little girls, was in the traveler’s seat.

Paredes was taken in on the warrant and officers saw several pieces of aluminum foil with a scorched residue on the driver and passenger sides of the car and in both door pockets.

Authorities state the kids were barefoot in the back seat and not using restraints. Officers found numerous razor blades on the floor of the back seat in addition to more aluminum foil with burnt residue. Cops said the kids,  ages five and seven, had flies in their hair and assumed they had not been bathed in a minimum of two weeks.

The kids informed private investigators they had not eaten or drank anything in more than a day and were well aware of the parents doing heroin before spending time with them, according to the police reports.

After being driven to the healthcare facility for examination, they were found to be dehydrated, but no drugs were discovered in their system.

Paredes and Millan are behind bars, serving time for child abuse and drug charges.

The Phoenix Police Department, which is handling the investigation, referred to the fire department’s statement and provided no further details regarding the case.

Cardi B Defends Why She Drugged and Robbed Men Saying She had ‘limited options’

A shocking video surfaced of Cardi B confessing to robbing and drugging men. Just like the saying goes, the truth will always find a way to reveal its self and that’s precisely what it did to Cardi B. The famous rap artist and the former stripper was active on Instagram Live this weekend to announce the upcoming book she plans on writing about her life. However, things started to unravel when she addressed how she was being attacked and targeted by her followers and how she felt that it was unfair.

She began to discuss her past, and how she got to where she is standing now. Cardi started to express herself and at one point admitted that during her stripper days, “I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f*ck me? Yeah yeah yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’ and I drugged n****s up and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do.”

This statement, of course, sparked controversy among Twitter and Instagram followers across the nation. Many users shared their thoughts and took to hashtags to fuel the fire. #SurvivingCardiB, which is modeled after the name of the recent Surviving R. Kelly documentary, has been tweeted across thousands of pages being made into the famous thing American refer to as a meme. Fans and critics have compared the singer to Bill Cosby saying that the comment would have blown up if it came from a man, many are pushing for the brand and hype of Cardi to be ” canceled. ”

Not even bothered by the criticism that has surfaced before the bold statement, Cardi once again went on Instagram Live to announce her “Okurr” trademark paperwork: She said, “While I’m still here, I’m gonna secure all the f*cking bags.” However, critics believe Cardi shouldn’t claim ownership over a word that she didn’t initially popularize; however, there has been no Okurr trademark request before which could result in a win for the artist.

She concluded her announcement by saying: “I have a past that I can’t change we all do.”

Study Reveals, New brain Cells Formed Throughout Peoples Life

Until recently the medical experts of the world have believed humans are born with the brain cells they will have for the rest of their lives. However, this debate brings new questions and possible answers to the way we treat Alzheimer’s.

The study conducted at the University of Madrid discovered that the number of new brain cells tailed off with age. While falling dramatically in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease – providing new ideas for managing dementia.

According to experts neurons – brain cells that send electrical signals – are indeed in place by the time people are born.

However, studies on other mammals have discovered new brains cells developing later in life, but the degree of “neurogenesis” in the human brain is still a cause of discussion.

The study examined the brains of 58 deceased people who were between the ages of 43 and 97.

The main focus was on the hippocampus – a part of the brain associated with memory and emotion — one of the most critical parts of the growing and living brain.

The team noticed immature or “new” neurons in the brains they examined; usually, neurons do not form in the brain entirely until they go through a process of growing and maturing.

Researcher Dr. Maria Llorens-Martin explained to BBC News: “I believe we would be generating new neurons as long as we need to learn new things. “And that occurs during every single second of our life.”

The story is not the same in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients.

According to the study, the number of new neurons forming decreased from 30,000 per millimetre to 20,000 per millimetre in people at the start of Alzheimer’s.

Dr. Llorens-Martin noted: “That’s a 30% reduction in the very first stage of the disease.

“It’s shocking for us, it’s even before the accumulation of amyloid beta [a hallmark of Alzheimer’s] and probably before symptoms, it’s very early.”

Alzheimer’s disease remains untreatable, although the main focus of research has been targeting clusters of amyloid beta in the brain.

Despite, the efforts of the various research teams, last week more trials using this approach have been unsuccessful, which suggest that there may be something else happening at an earlier stage of the disease.

Dr. Llorens-Martin believes that by understanding why there is a drop in neurogenesis could potentially lead to new strategies to treat both Alzheimer’s and normal aging.

Although she thinks the next stage of research will require studying the brains of people while they are still alive, to understand what is happening throughout peoples lives.

Dr. Rosa Sancho, head of research at Alzheimer’s Research UK, announced: “While we start losing nerve cells in early adulthood, this research shows that we can continue to produce new ones even into our 90s.”

“Alzheimer’s radically accelerates the rate at which we lose nerve cells, and this research provides convincing evidence that it also limits the creation of new nerve cells, she added. ”

While concluding that “Larger studies will need to confirm these findings and explore whether they could pave the way for an early test to flag those most at risk of the disease.”

New Study Shows Popular ADHD Medications May Increase Risk of Psychosis

Medications that are typically used to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have been deemed dangerous according to a new study. Experts examined the two most popular ADHD medications and discovered that while it may be low now, the drugs do pose a risk of psychosis.

“We looked at new users, people who are being prescribed these medications for the first time,” Lauren V. Moran, MD, a psychiatrist at McLean Hospital who led the study, announced in an interview with CBS News. “We compared amphetamines, which is Adderall and Vyvanse, to people who were prescribed methylphenidates, which is Ritalin or Concerta. “We found that the Adderall-type drugs had an increased risk of psychosis.”

The rate of ADHD has been rising dramatically over the past ten years, with more than 6 million U.S. children and young adults have been diagnosed with the disorder. The diagnosis is usually described as attention difficulty, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Reports showed that 5 million people under the age of 25 in the U.S are prescribed medications continuously for ADHD.

The study analyzed two large commercial insurance claims database on patients between the ages of 13 and 25 with ADHA, who were prescribed amphetamines or methylphenidate between 2004 and mid-2015. The researchers studied more than 220,000 patients.

The report concluded that 1 out of every 486 patients who began taking the drugs developed some psychosis that required professional help. The patients who developed this condition were also prescribed antipsychotic medication, compared to 1 in 1,046 patients who started on methylphenidate.

The condition referred to as Psychosis is a mental condition identified by a disconnection from reality. People report hallucinations, such as hearing voices in their head, and delusions, involving false beliefs, like the government is after them or watching them for no reason.

“Often, when people who develop psychosis, don’t have insight, so they don’t even realize that they are impaired,” Moran emphasized. “They think these things are happening. It’s very scary.”

The study which was originally published in the New England Journal of Medicine, have caught the attention of experts around the world, she believes its due to the excess use of amphetamine medications in adolescents and teenagers has more than tripled in the past five years

“It seems that doctors are choosing to start people on Adderall even though existing guidelines suggest that both stimulants have similar effectiveness,” Moran said. “So there needs to be a dialogue between patients and doctors about why they’re choosing Adderall over Ritalin-type drugs.”

A higher risk is if a patient is already at an increased risk of psychosis, such as a family history of bipolar disorder or a psychotic disorder. “I might shy away from Adderall in patients with that kind of history,” Moran stated.

More studies are being conducted to support further the recent discoveries published.

“One of the things that are important about this study is that we only looked at new users,” Moran explained. “It seemed like the risk of this happening happens early on in treatment. Most of the psychotic episodes happened in the first several months of treatment. So I think if you have a child who’s taking Adderall or Vyvanse and they’ve been taking it as prescribed and they’re benefitting from it, there’s no reason to take them off. This is something that people should be considering when they’re first starting.”

JetBlue Pilots Accused of Raping and Drugging Female Flight Attendants in New York Lawsuit

A lawsuit against two Pilots has made it to federal court this week. Accusing the two of drugging and raping three staff members during a layover in Puerto Rico last year in what the Pilots referred to as a “fantasy” sexual assault-leaving one of the victims with an STD.

The women are seeking at least $75,000 in psychological damages concerning the attack that happened May of 2018.

This week, the unnamed victims who reside in Fort Worth Texas, filed a lawsuit in New York federal court, accusing the two JetBlue pilots Eric Johnson and Dan Watson of raping and drugging the three women during a long layover at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Juan.

The lawsuit indicates that Johnson and Watson met up with the three women on the beach on May 9 during their layover, after bragging that they worked for JetBlue, the men then offered the flight crew beers from a lunch pale which the women drank. The women claim that the drinks were laced with drugs but had no idea at the time.

“The rest of the night became a blur for [the women],” the lawsuit reads, finding themselves in the hotel with the pilots after spending an undocumented amount of time at the beach.

Despite those claims, Watson had “left the scene after having been scratched,” but one of the victims recalls opening her eyes to Johnson touching her but was unable to communicate because of the sedatives.

“[Her] flashes of memory included Johnson having sexual intercourse with the other [third] crewmember who was also under the influence of the drugs,” the suit claims.

The suit reported that Johnson said“Thank you for making my fantasy come true,” to the pair following the attack.

Once they returned to the airport for their flight to N.J. the next morning, the victims reported feeling “groggy and numb” as they “expressed to each other that they were stunned” by what occurred.

One of the victims who returned home to Utah tested positive for the human papillomavirus (HPV), “which she could only have contracted from defendant Johnson,” as accused by the suit.

Even though two of the victims had reported the attack to JetBlue headquarters, the company said they were “purporting to investigate the matter; no corrective action was ever taken again.”

Nevertheless, because of the negligence of the company the two women sought outside help and are now suing for $75,000 each in damages, in addition to attorney’s fees and costs, reported the New York Post.

“What happened to my clients is truly horrific, and JetBlue’s failure to take corrective action is appalling. I am hopeful that the courage of my clients will bring about some real change and inspire others who have been silenced to come forward,” Melamed announced on Thursday, March 21. “We look forward to getting justice,” announced Attorney Abraham Z. Melamed, of Derek Smith Law Group, in an interview with Fox News.

As for JetBlue, the large airline “takes allegations of violent or inappropriate behavior very seriously and investigates such claims thoroughly.”

“We work to create a respectful workplace for all our crewmembers where they feel welcome and safe,” an employee spokesperson announced, however, refused to answer any questions.

Couples Drug Rehab Explained Through Newley Formatted Idaho State Page

When both members of a couple are dealing with drug abuse or addiction, it can be tough to get assistance. If just one member of the couple goes to rehab, the other partner’s ongoing drug abuse can make it much harder for the very first partner to avoid relapsing into substance abuse after treatment is over.

Nevertheless, not getting the help needed can lead to many risks for the couple, such as relationship difficulties, financial loss, and even adverse effects on physical and psychological health for both partners.

Although, if both partners want to undergo rehab at the same time, it can support them to recover together. When couples participate in rehab together, it can provide tools to manage their dependencies– understanding each person’s triggers and cravings and learning to prevent relapse.

It can also assist in enhancing the relationship, managing concerns such as codependency and making it possible for a new life all while creating a new relationship dynamic that supports each partner alone and together in healing.

A website hopes to curb those theories by providing a resource page that highlights the steps and programs that are available to both people struggling with an addiction. Idaho is usually known for its potato crop production but hidden in between those lines are people struggling with drug addiction and alcohol abuse.  Couplesrehabs.org has noticed, and they are aiming to help couples in need of treatment to find the right program.

Couplesrehabs.org has partnered with various facilities across the state to ensure the quickest and painless placement possible. Their expert staff will answer any questions and explain any process to help couples and individuals understand their options and ensure the success of sobriety.

The websites Idaho couples state page credited to their skilled and professional team alongside a 24-hour hotline to help individuals and couples choose the best program.

Couples living in Idaho will now have access to information from any device at any time of the day to break free of the chains addiction once controlled. New Jersey Bans Cashless Stores In Hopes Of Eliminating Discrimination

Cashless stores and dining establishments are a thing of the past in New Jersey after the state passed a new law banning the practice that critics say is classist.

Gov. Expense Murphy signed the new law Monday, requiring most brick-and-mortar stores and dining establishments in the state to accept cash. This makes New Jersey the second state to require stores and dining establishments to take a legal tender.

Massachusetts enacted a comparable law in 1978, while Philadelphia banned cashless dining establishments earlier in March.

New York City Councilman Ritchie Torres is attempting to ban cashless stores also.

While organizations may prefer cashless deals because of their ease and leave them invulnerable to cash-seeking burglars, critics say they discriminate against those who can not access debit or credit cards.

“Many individuals do not have access to customer credit, and any effort by retail facilities to ban making use of money is prejudiced towards those individuals,” Democratic state Assemblyman Paul Moriarty stated in a statement.

A national FDIC study discovered 6.5% of all U.S. households did not have an account at a banking institution. Black families (16.9%) and Latino households (14%) were impacted at a much higher rate.

Web, mail, and phone orders are exempt to the brand-new law, which works right away.

Automobile rental business, parking lot and some airport retail shops are excluded, as well.

“I’m pleased we are now the second state in the country that will now make it clear that the U.S. dollar is legal tender and that retail establishments should accept it or face the consequences,” Moriarty said, referring to a similar law adopted by Massachusetts in 1978.

The new law “removes a business owners’ right to freely determine how they would like to receive payment,” according to The New Jersey Business & Industry Association

Legislation banning cashless stores has been introduced in Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
