Pop-Star Britney Spears has Checked into an Inpatient Mental Health Facility During her Fathers Illness

The famous 90’s pop star Britney Spears has reportedly checked herself into a mental health facility, according to the Los Angeles Times. The report states that she will be staying at the inpatient facility for 30 days. Unknown issues have been surfacing that link her mental break to her father’s recent health struggles, although she has not yet confirmed her reasoning.

Jaime, her father, has been suffering from serious health issues. So much so that she had canceled her new Las Vegas residency “to devote all of her time to her family and their efforts to care for her father during his recovery,” the report stated.

Spears gave a heartfelt announcement to her fans saying, “I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I look forward to the time when I can be back on stage performing for you all.” She had mentioned in a statement before her announcement that her family has always had a special bond and she would like to be with them during this time.

Few weeks after her announcement Spears wrote on Instagram, “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time,'” posting a picture that read, “Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Mind. Body. Spirit.”

Within that same week, Sam Asghari, Spears’ boyfriend, shared the same photo on his Instagram, captioning it with, “It isn’t weakness, It’s a sign of absolute strength, people should only be inspired by this, at least I am,” along with the hashtag #stronger, the title of Spears’ 2000 hit.

The star has not announced anything regarding her check in on her website, and her last known tweet was her announcing her Vegas residency, “I appreciate your prayers and support for my family during this time. Thank you, and love you all… always,” she tweeted at the time.

Her fans have continued to show her support, including messages about mental health and the importance behind it.
